India’s Covid-19 Disaster
In March last year, India, one of the world’s poorest countries, imposed a complete curfew across the country, making it the most atrocious lockdown in the world. The police severely beat up those who went out grocery shopping. It wasn’t easy to take the sick to the hospital, even if they escaped police beatings. Those living from hand to mouth—a vast majority of Indians—were relegated to extreme poverty. Here is the story:
Many years back, I was on a trip with Bob Moriarty. He had many books with him, what would have been several months of my reading. He read all those books during our short trip. No wonder he is highly knowledgeable and a fabulous writer. In a recent interview with Maurice Jackson, Bob talks about his new book, “What Became of the Crow.” He also mentions that Irving Resources (IRV; C$2) is one of his largest positions. So is the case with me.
The market has forgotten about IRV, despite that Japan never had a lockdown, and IRV is currently drilling. They have recently acquired a large land package of some of the most prospective areas close to one of the highest-grade gold mines in the world, Hishikari. As an exploration company, IRV does have its risks, but it also has many top-notch areas under exploration, being worked on in participation with Newmont.
