The World’s Most Insidious Religion

In this presentation from Capitalism & Morality 2022, I examine what I call the world’s fastest-growing and most insidious religion.

The modern world often imagines that it has moved beyond religion, superstition, and blind faith. In reality, new secular dogmas have replaced older religious structures. These beliefs demand submission, punish dissent, invert morality, and spread through institutions, media, education, and politics.

This talk examines how ideological faith can become more dangerous than traditional religion precisely because it refuses to recognize itself as religion.
