What is Capitalism?

In this conversation with The Postil, I explain what capitalism really means and why it cannot be separated from morality.

Capitalism is not merely markets, money, profit, or private enterprise. It depends on a moral foundation: honesty, trust, contractual integrity, self-restraint, respect for property, and the willingness to deal with others voluntarily. Without these values, capitalism degenerates into corruption, cronyism, theft, and predation.
