The institutions of the West have been taken over by woke people, who pass their time virtue-signalling and imposing multiculturalism and diversity on the unsuspecting population. Those who haven’t bothered to understand the world find virtue-signalling an easy way to look virtuous. In encouraging all kinds of affirmative actions, they are anti-meritocratic.
East Asia continues to be closely attached to merit. There the concept of woke is conspicuous by its absence.
While the US continues to be the best country in my view, it is now way past its peak. Whether we like it or not—and there is no reason not to like it—China continues to grow and improve:
