Spread of Fanaticism
Rapier Gold (RPR) and Alabama Graphite (CSPG)
Recently, I had a conversation with Maurice Jackson about how fanaticism is spreading rapidly in South Asia. Iran and India have been hugely misunderstood by the international media and investors. Both countries have jobless growths, and the Indian situation is getting worse by the day, with fights between Muslims and Hindus, those from the Higher Caste and the Lower Caste, Hindus and Christians, etc. spontaneously erupting:
I also had much longer discussion with Jason Burack about the issues that impact the Third World. Given political correctness, many of these issues are completely ignored by the western media and international organizations like the World Bank and the IMF:
As I mention in my interview with Proven & Probable, I am closely watching two companies: Novo Resources (NVO; C$3.54) and Irving Resources (IRV; C$0.77). I have written about both of these in the past, and intend to buy more of their shares in case their prices weaken.
Also, here are two interesting arbitrage opportunities with decent arbitrage-upsides: Rapier Gold (RPR; C$0.06) and Alabama Graphite (CSPG; C$0.085). I know the managements of Rapier Gold and the acquiring company, and feel more comfortable about the underlying value. As I mostly don’t look at graphite investments, I lack a solid opinion about Alabama Graphite. If you decide to buy either of these, you should do some valuation on what the pro-forma company will look like.
