Musings on Investing

Cancel Culture in the Mining Sector

A few people connected to Vancouver are desperate to cancel me. They hope that their virtue-signaling will help them materially. This group is headed by a company CEO who (legally) stole a million dollars from the last company he ran into the ground. These are highly money-minded and naïve people. They find it very hard to accuse me of racism—they are all “white.” So they try to find anything where they can accuse me of misogyny or homophobia, often using what I say out of context.

My lowest opinion is not about religious fanatics or those participating in ghetto life. My lowest opinion, unequivocally, is about those who were lucky to have been born in the West and had all the opportunities but ended up becoming woke and scammers. Here are my thoughts:

On Investments

The government of Côte d’Ivoire has approved the acquisition by Montage Gold (MAU; C$0.59) of the Mankono-Sissédougou Joint Venture Project from Barrick Gold and Endeavor Mining. The acquired project has a higher grade than and is contiguous to the Kone project of MAU, on which a DFS was completed early this year. I believe MAU offers the highest upside of any gold development company I know of.

I might hesitatingly buy Maritime Resources (MAE; C$0.05) at C$0.04, expecting a corporate transaction to happen soon. I also continue accumulating O3 Mining (OIII; C$1.18). Linked is a conversation that Cory Fleck, Shad Marquitz, and I had about these two companies.
