I wrote an article titled “Who Cares for Children?” published in The Statesman on 24 August 2001.
In this article, I describe the routine humiliation and physical abuse inflicted on children, students, workers, and other vulnerable people—and the indifference of those who witness it. This was among the many reports I filed about such abuses. I repeatedly brought these incidents to the attention of the police and other authorities, but nothing came of them.
