Muckrakers

I was published in the November 2008 issue of Liberty Magazine with a piece titled “Muckrakers.”

In the piece, I discuss the role of exposure, criticism, and public scrutiny in confronting corruption, hypocrisy, and institutional decay.

The title refers to those who dig into the dirt of public life—not because dirt is attractive, but because societies that refuse to examine their own corruption eventually normalize it.

The piece appeared on pages 21–22 of the November 2008 print issue.
